How fast is your internet?

Ok, first of all, i put the answers this way because most people wouldn't know otherwise.

The fastest i've ever downloaded something on my connection was 2.4 MB/s, upload is around ~700 KB/s i think. And basically what ever game i play (gears, TF2 ect) i have a pretty flawless host.

I think it's about time people upgrade their connections instead of complaining about lag.

I work for my local cable company (not releasing name but...) our standard internet as the potential to get 10 Mb/s download & 1 mb/s upload

I average about 3.5 - 4 Mb/s dwn, not sure of the up speed

It's obvious why most people put "2001+" ... they don't know the difference between a bit, and a byte.

8 bits = 1 byte

EX: 5000 Kbps = 625 kB/s

I have DSL, and if no one's on my Internet connection, I get about 650 kB/s download. It's not Verizon FiOS, but it'll do.

Lol, the poll's fine - it's just some people aren't aware of the difference (bit vs. byte). Speed tests, like speedtest.net and others, give primary results in Kbps.

And wow, you're lucky - Canadians get absolutely milked. We have pretty slow connections (generally), and the faster packages aren't really that fast, have ridiculous caps (like 60 GB/month), and cost insane amounts of money.

My Internet alone costs $55 CAD for the speed I mentioned before.

have you guys ever heard of over laggin..My mom is a neurosurgen and has to have a t3 connection because she teaches from our house. I think its t3 ne ways. I get 1g/s with like 2 g/s output. And i was in a room the other day and it seemed like i couldnt kill ne one but everyone could kill me and everyones else ping was 1 but mine was 4 bars. Has anyone ever heard of this

Correct me if im wrong because im not very educated in this department. But i usually download demos in about 2 mins and movies in about 10. does that seem right.

I have 10MByte/s upload and 10MByte/s download. On average I get a download speed of 750-1000 kb/s, and an average upload speed of 600-900 kb/s. Planning on getting 100/10 very soon.

I live in Sweden.

thats only because of turbo/speed-whatever-boost. its only active for a few mb's then it goes back to normal speed... just enough to "trick" the speedtests, oh well.
