How does a PC game get Xbox 360 achievments?

I'm talking about Halo 2 vista. I'm just a little confused on how a PC game can unlock achievments forthe xbox 360. Anyone care to explain?

They don't unlock the achievments for the 360 :? they unlock them for themselves lol. Live is coming to PC's and halo 2 will be the first Live for windows game. You can use your gamertag on your 360 or your PC, microsoft is just extending the service to another platform, simple. :)

Windows Live=Xbox live The points also go to your xbox gamertag
