how do i stop my mic from echoing? for those of you who don't know what an echo is its when your mic plays back everything that is said. so if someone says "you suck go kill yourself" it will show you saying "you suck go kill yourself". i've gone through several mics and controllers and they all develop the same issue. I try unplugging it but after so many times the mic stops working until i reset my 360. I've tried different mics, controllers, batteries, even consoles but they all do the same thing

NOTE: i use a wired mic that wal mart sellsforaround $20. It's the only brand of mic besides wireless that i see being sold although i have heard of turtle beach(idk if thats right) mics but they're around $100

You probably need to buy a new one. They start to echo after they get pulled out of the controller to much.

It's echoing what's being said around you in the room or it's playing back what's said on the tv?

If it's repeating what's being said on tv/speakers you might be sitting too close to the tv.
