everynow an then my 360 freezes, im not sure if it is the internet or if it is a big problem with the console, i just got it last week. so first of all its new, and second of all the new cpu's in those aren't supposed to everheat. is this something i should worry about or get checked out or return? i don't want to loose my harddrive. and what if it is just the internet? its only frozen while online, and only like 3 times, and i think all of those times were in rbow. what should i do?

test it out with long term offline gaming.

i highly suggest you returned the console for a new one.

and the 65nm was suppose to do no such thing. all it was meant to do was make the 360 cost less to make.

It could also depend on the game. Some games are more freeze-prone than others.

dont worry about it, when i first got my 360, it would freeze all the time, and now i cant remember the last time it did. and rbow is rainbowsix? because rainbowsix just freezes all the time anyway.

sometimes in halo 3 u just have to wait like 5 seconds before it starts to run again... but if this happens frequently even when playing other games u should visit xbox.com... go under support and click the one that says screen freezes. I had the same problem. It ended in me having to ship it in to xbox and pay $100 for them to fix it.
