my 360 recently did and its getting repaired right now, but idk what to do with my scratched gta4 disk. i mean i have 130 bucks but i dont wanna buy another gta for 60 dollers. i am saving up for gears2 and fable 2. like do u know any place where they will fix my cd for free or atleast under 30 dollars?:( i recently bought the game like 1 month ago, i like it alot, and i am half way through the game. i would love to complete it and then i want the downloadable content thats comming
im sorry :( but theres not much more you can do, microsoft will only give you another copy if its a game they published, halo 3, gears, forza, etc. but i guess it wouldent hurt to ask them
It doesn't scratch my games, it cracks them. I notice a crack on the inside rim, it sucks. The rim grows overtime and eventually breaks the game.
Though one time my 360 scratched my HAlo2 and it would load like 15% slower on loading screens. And I took it to GameCrazy to get it buffered. When I put it in the cd tray and it read the CD, the game wouldn't load. They erased it completely. UNplayable Disc. I never took a game to get buffered since then. Though my GTA4 is completely broken because of a scratch. I might be able to get that fixed, if not, back to square 1.

Yeah sadly it happens. My Dead Rising disc got ruined because of it a little while back. You just have to be really careful not to move your xbox while the disc is spinning. Thats is the only time ive had it to happen.
Maybe they did it intentionally collaborating with game makers so you buy the game again after it cracks. My old PS1 & PS2 never cracked any disc. But that's just a theory. Funny thing is when I was playing a game that I rented, it was making a loud noise so I flipped the XBOX to vertical position & it made this noise that's like grinding inside so I turned it off. I thought the XBOX was done for but it was ok but the disc was scratched to perfection .
Yup it happened to me to, one day im playing COD4 then two seconds later all i hear is some crazy grinding sounds and im like O.O Awwww **** mahh 360 is done for , then when i took out the disk it had two HUGE , DEEP , ASS scratches.
