Which one would be a better buy? I'll eventually get both, but which first? Both look like great games for a new 360 owner.

Does Gears of war 1 or 2 have splitscreen in their bot matches?

Bots are only in Gears of War 2.

Gears of War 1 doesn't have them and Halo has never supported them.

I prefer Halo: Reach over the Gears games, but that's just me. A lot of people love the Gears games though. You should get some bang for your buck with either one.

EDIT- All three games have splitscreen, yes you can use bots in Gears 2 splitscreen.

Gears dual pack but only for the SP. The multiplayer on Reach was never fantastic and will die out quickly after Halo 4, and the Gears 1 and 2 online modes are... a rough experience.

Ya, I just bought a xbox and don't have gold yet. So I'll probably get more bang for my buck with the Gears triple pack. Does Gears of War 3 have offline splitscreen bots? If so, I'll just pick up the whole gears trilogy.

I'm fairly certain that 3 has bots.

Alright, sweetness. I'll just get the gear of War trilogy first.

This. If you can wait longer for Reach anyways, it might be cheaper once Halo 4 comes out in November.

I wasn't a fan of Reach, but there is fun to be had with friends, just like any game. It is my game of choice for LAN parties. Great fun with all the custom maps and gametypes, plus the fact that it supports up to 16 player LAN battles with 1-4 players on each console.

Don't get Halo Reach, get Halo 3 it was better, tho I'm pretty sure it would be a better idea to just get Halo 4, seeing the approaching release. And as for a choice between Gears Dual Pack or Halo Reach? Well it's really FPS versus TPS then, but probably Gears of War would be a better idea. If it has to be a FPS, go for Crysis.

I already have Crysis 1 and 2 on ps3, great games. Ibought Gears 1 and 2 and Fable 3. I want Halo 4, but I dont have Gold and since they locked away they missions mode to gold members only, Im not gonna buy it. Ill buy Reach when it goes down in price.

I personally would get Gears dual pack, Halo reach is fun online, but I found Halo 3 slightly better. There is something really dull about reach at times.

Reach, imo, is the full package. The campaign and multiplayer are great. I like Gears for the single player.
