Halo Reach 9.5 on GameInformer

In the October issue of GameInformer they gave Halo Reach a 9.5 However, the written review is not on their website yet of course because of the review embargo which is ending in less than an hour. Check this thread later for a link when the review goes up. I got this score from the critic score here on Gamespot if you look at the Halo Reach page.

Pretty good score. That's what I expect from most sites.

I don't think it deserves a 10 from anyone, IGN might do it because of hype but it is just plain old Halo, not that there's anything wrong with that though, I can't wait for it.

If it innovates the gameplay drastically and recaptivates our imagination then I can easily see it being 9.5-worthy.

GI has never had a problem giving a highly overrated game a 10 before.

How is it a 9.5 while ODST is a 9 the Game is just .5 better ? silly Oh well still great

I think it will deserve a high score...minus all the hype, Halo is still a solid shooter with both a good sotry and very good multiplayer

Just to add, I just received my copy of GameInformer with an odd but interesting BioShock Infinite cover that sways from Gi's traditional front cover. Halo Reach is reviewed inside with 9.5 score. And they gave Metroid Other M a 6.25! Starcraft 2 with a 10/10. Sorry off-topic. The hype for Reach only gets bigger and bigger for me.

But yeah, I don't think anyone is going to give Halo Reach anything less than a 9. It's way too hyped up not to.

So Halo Reach got a 9.5 and Mw2 got a 9.75......

I really want halo to get 10 score so that they can beat gta4. gta 4 is still on the top for too long its time for a new king

People were discussing this on the b.net halo reach forums, they were saying that halo reach improves everything from halo 3, which I agree as the servers on halo 3 are buggy and halo reach servers are supposed to be a lot better. One example of the buggyness of the servers on halo 3, I stuck a guy, the stickie disappeared, he didn't die. But yeah, 9.5 is still great!

Also the multiplayer has been improved also, introducing challenges and the perks like the sprint, jet packs, armor lock etc. I hope halo reach is the top played game on XBL, I hope it beats the crap out of mw2!

I'm sorry but I kind of think Halo gets too much votes. He is a good first person shooter and good to play with friends but that really is it. The story really was lost on me after the first. It was just stall and boring. Fun shooter don't get me wrong but if it didn't have multiplayer I would say it wouldn't have been so big.

My points i made across is not a "ODST vs Reach" points its just how 8.5 would be a great score nonetheless but i'm fairly sure everyone expect it to be rated minimum 9.

Guess Microsoft should have sent them some extra cash like Activision did.

ODST got 9.25 but yet that game wasn't so hot. Reach should be epic
