So im playing halo 3 on my hdtv and its crisp but then in a game the sides are cut off wtf? I tried playing gears of war 2 and its perfect but only halo for some reason the sides are cut off and im playing in 1080i. Help appreciated.

Hey man, the EXACT same thing happens with me. All of my games run fine (no side cutting), but Halo 3 always gets the sides cut off. Although in my hdtv I can change the aspect ratio but it looks kinda weird so I leave it untouched. I have no idea why this happens. What hdtv are you using?

That happens in games on HDTV. And you read that where? Because other than Halo 3 that doesn't happen. At least not that i know of and i have played many games splitscreen on the 360 on an HDTV.

Yeah split screen it happens due to the aspect ratio of the 2/4 players. Does it happen for you in campaign also? Mine is fine. Works on HDTV for 1080i and 1080p. Check the settings both on your console, and run through the setup conducted by Sgt Johnson on the LE Bonus Disc (if you have it). That irons out a heap of stuff (graphics, ratio, network, audio, etc).
It also happens to me, and I have what I like to call a "newb toob" (toob television, my parents wont buy a newer one). I shortly tried looking around in google for some answers but nothing turned up.
