HALO 3 Ending... (SPOILERS)

SO when master cheif launches onto the ship w/ aribter. how does Aribter survive and not master cheif? or did he die? i loved the ending but im confuzed

master chier did not die in the very end it shows him entering that pod thing again where he first came out of..hope that helps you

No one but Cortana and of course Master Chief know he survived, thus everyone on Earth assumed he died since the only person to show up on Earth in the ship was the Arbiter. Play through the last level on Legendary, you'll get the ending after the credits which you'll get on any difficulty but after that you'll get a special Legendary ending hinting towards either a possible Halo 4 or a new book storyline.Progn0sticator
