Grid Demo...

Hi. I downloaded the Grid demo onto my 360 this morning and after playing it for about 5 minutes I found myself to be rather disappointed.

So, what do you guys think? Opinions?

Dont like it. It just doesnt "feel" right to me. DZBricktop

I liked it, because to me it feels a little like the previous TOCA titles. It has excellent sound design, great graphics. If you've ever played one of those games, then you'll undertand. But Codemasters did go with DiRT's neon engine, so maybe that's why the cars turn on a central axis. That works for rally, but it comes across rather different feeling on the pavement.

All in all, I'm pleased. I liked the drifting, that was fun, but it does need another couple of months to tie everything together. I guess well see what happens in the next few weeks. Oh and the replays are some of the best I've seen in a racing game! They really give you a sense of speed and chaos.

No it's a good game

Just take it for what it is, dont say you don't like this game cause it isnt something else. It's a very smooth game, even online. I've had a lot of competitive and fun races playing online :D

Everything about this game is pretty much awesome, except the most important thing, the feel and the handling of the car. Shame really, so much potential just pi***d away.Keitarourashima

It's arcady that you can easily make a sharp turn without having to come to a complete stop but realistic and punishing enough that if you over shoot it you may total your car

GRID is not a simulation, it is fun. The "feel" isn't going for a real car. What did people get as their best time on the ebay time trial? I've trimmed mine from a 1:47.80 to 1:42.93. The record is currently a blistering fast 1:39.71

Dude are you serious!?!? I thought this game got cancelled! Now Bethesda is publishing it? Uh oh. This game had "turd" written on it from the moment of conception. That has to do with the fact that Zombie is the developer. Do you remember their last disasterpiece Shadow Ops on the XBOX? Hopefully since the game has been delayed like what, 1.5 to 2 years, maybe it will turn out better. Here's to hoping, because it had a few great ideas!

I guess. Fallout 3 will be GOTY '08 though!

I thought it was great. Yea it's way too easy to spin out and crash, but it's easier than Forza 2 which was super boring imo. Plus the graphics were great and the ability to see through the window of the car is pretty cool.mohfrontline
