Gears of War 3 Midnight release question

So hey Gamespotters. i am attending the Gears of War 3 Midnight release event and i was just woundering how early should i be at my local gamespot to be at least some where near the front of the line?

no point in aiming for the front with game like gears they will be lined up early probably as early as 7 PM and ive seen it before (previously for Halo 3). Your better off trying to roll in late so that you can just pick up your copy and leave without having to wait for too long. As someone mention it also depends on where you live but obviously some places will have more than others.

11:30 is your best bet, some stores open up a few mins before midnight just to get out of there quicker, but even if your last on line it shouldnt take more then 15mins to get in and get your copy. midnight release lines go quick

Im going SUPER early. I went to Black Ops Midnight Release around 8:30 and there was about 6 or7 people (plus the 5 dudes in my group) already loitering around gamestop (we are in the mall so we got yelled at till 10 (which is when the pre launch **** starts )) Im gonn try to get there round 9ish. Yea I want my copy first lol

All depends on locations,

on this long main street in my city there is 3 game stops like all in a 2 mile radius(don't ask me why) BUT only 2 dose midnight releases because the one is inside of a mall. BUT first one i past has long ass line. drive 2 more minutes and you have a gamestop where you get there 5 min till 12 and be out no more then 12:10.

i havn't been to one for some time now because my job don't allow it. I have to work every tuseday pretty much no matter what and i have to be there 5 in the morning. So i just order from amazon setting on my side door when i get home, No need stop anywhere

Doesn't really matter. Even if you get there early to be at the front of the line... the difference between the guy in the front getting the game and you who are in the line towards the middle or back.. is like 10-15 minutes. Seriously. Don't go early unless you're interested in mingling with the crowd. Other than that, there's no point. You might as we stroll in there at 12:01.

To prove this... Gamestop tries to get everyone out and about by 12:30. Depending on the attendance numbers. For Gears of War 2.. everyone got their copy of Gears of War 2 by 12:20 and there was a crowd of at least 100 people. They work pretty fast here in my area.

If you got a car, show up at 11 ish and check out the line till it dwindles down to like 5 or 6 people then go in. Thats what I did with black ops midnight release anyway.
