Gears of War 2 - What Do You Like About It?

Ok so i wanted to make my first thread about a game i like.

We all know Gears of War 2 is an ultimate and awesome game. The gameplay, the graphics, almost everything has wiked element to it.

What i wanted to know is what you like about the game, and if you havent all ready rated it, do it. :D

What i like:

The enemy locusts, they are brillant characters aswell as the COG team.

Love the chainsaw duels, even though i suck at "button bashing" :? lol. (it wasnt available in number) thats why it was a good element.

Love the cutscences, one of the best ive seen in any game, and some are very emotional. - [spoiler] When Tai shoots himself, Carmine is like devoured in Acid, and Dom finding his wife, which was very sad and touching, which you might think im a wuss, but it makes you angry and makes you wanna rip off every locust head off and spit on it lol. [/spoiler]

I gotta say that i have always been a fan of games with execution moves in them, and gears of war 1 kicked ass as well, but the executions just made the game all the better.

The only thing that sucked in gears 1 was that my fav character died, anthony carmine

Yeah, love the Torque Bow. but when an enemy has it, on lets say Elimination, and you hear it charges, wehm whem whem whem whem whem lol

I Liked The Button Mashing. Its Sickkkkk Im Pretty Good At It :)

Another Is the Horde Mode Trying To Beat it On Insane Iss Well Insane The Locust Are Vicious...

The Story Was Pretty Good Too And The Online Was Pretty Hard For Me like In The First Gears...

the offline gameplay is amazing the AI are great and the wepons are sick as hell i must admit im not a fan of a love story mixed in with a FPS but its not a big deal over all the game is sweet....untill you try to take it online....sorry to say but gears 2 fails on live miserably....the matchmaking is like being led through a maze by a 3 year old and once you find a game the ping (lag) is so bad you cant even shoot a stang target let alone people movin from cover to cover... plus forget about joining a friends game .... i kno after that rant it sounds like i hate the game but dont get me wrong it is a 10 out of 10 offline but online is horrible thats all i am trying to say...

I like how the host has an advantage... how they "fixed" or "banned" standbying... (not)... and I like how the most powerful weapon in the game (the chainsaw) is used by noobs and pros alike.... I think that covers it....

But hey at least they didn't ruin the campaign.

1. the campaign was awesome, i really enjoyed the variety.

2. online though it really sucked. it takes too long to start a game.

3. i havent tried horde mode yet.

It's pure balls to the walls action and you get to chainsaw dudes. The online is awesome as well.PlasmaBeam44

I like the single player campaign and the updated control scheme.

However, I prefered the graphic style and the more lag free online of gears 1. The graphics update was nice, but the artistic style was almost lost in translation. Just go take a look at screenshots of locusts in Gears 1 and you'll see what I mean.
