With so many games coming out i think the man 2 will be gears of war 2 and fallout 3. Don't get me wrong i think call of duty 5 is going to great like always and fable 2 should be ok. I just think it will come down to gears of war 2 vs fall out 3 for the game of the year. What u think?
Pfft, Gears 2 all the way. Fallout 3 looks good, but there is no multiplayer or co-op. It's going to be repetitive and is going to have little replay value. COD 5 looks better but in my opinion Gears 2 is going to come out on top :D
My money's on Fallout 3. Don't ask me why, but I wasn't too crazy about Gears of War 1, and the second installment won't tickle my fancy either, but FO3 is an expansive RPG (or so i've heard) and I love me some RPG! :D

if by replay value you mean playing the 80 hr storyline more than once? you're right i might not want to play the story more than once.
It is difficult to decide, i am going to go with gears 2, but thats because we are talking two toataly different kinds of games. Seince fallout 3 is made by bethesda, the ones who gave us the hidden gem/ god send OBLIVION, i will end up getting fallout 3 as well.Oblivion was and is a great game and i think you people who havent experienced it should go out and get it the gameplay is really enticing and the items are interesting. the effects of oblivion realm to real realm is cool, the sky going red is genius the armous kicks a$$ and the fact that you can self enchant it is truly going to keep you playing, and the acheivment points arent bad either.
Fable 2...btw I personally I am getting sick of online for the fact that there are several jerks, idiots, immature spoiled brats on live so for me I am welcoming anything that is mainly meant for single player :?. So in list of greatness in my opinion it is...
1. Fable 2.
2. Fallout 3.
3. Gears of War 2 (Lets hope we get a mature community :).)
4. Far Cry 2 (Tied for third with Gears :).)
Gears would be higher if I still trusted live like I did years ago....its a bummer the few ruin it for the many :(.
In my opinion, Fable 2 will be the best game out of them all but Gears 2 will do best sales-wise. If you consider Fallout 3 performance-wise on only the Xbox 360, it won't do the best.
Fallout 3 if it lives up to the name which I think it will. Gears of War 2 will definitely be a contender and will probably sell more copies but that doesn't guarantee GOTY which we've seen last year with Halo 3. It's going to be a close call and there's even GTA IV and MGS4 to throw into the mix as well.
Ok, now when did this get into GOTY? It started out as which game will be better? IMO Gears 2 will be the best game, but it's probably not going to win GOTY, and guess what? I don't really care. I love the game and I don't care what anybody else thinks. So have fun arguing for another few pages of this forum as I bid you farewell. :D
I THINK it will be Gears of War 2. It's very hard to say which one it will be until we play it for a while.
I hate to be a music and music video game nerd, but it's really true here too. I can't say which I like better Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero: World Tour, because I haven't played WT yet. Even then, I'll have to play it for two weeks before I say which I like better. Fable 2 might not win because it's not shipping with out of the box online co-op, like it said. Fallout 3 and Gears of War 2 might not win either. Maybe it will be...Lego Indiana Jones or something. :P
I'm just saying, it's hard to say right now because no one's really played them yet.
I figure I am going to get a lot of crap for this but I think that Gears is getting a little to much hipe. I mean I did enjoy the first one to a point. The campiegn kind of sucked which most people can agree with. So whats the point of making a sequal to the campiegn. I can't wait to see how the story continues... But the multiplayer was fun. Well it was for a point in time but soon it got old. The game had no depth. The only thing it had going for it was a solid control scheme. But now the control scheme has been re done in better ways and the multiplayer does not have the long lasting appeal. Personally I think it will be between GTA 4, MGS 4, Fable 2, and Fallout 3. These games have much more depth than Gears. Gears is going to be a good game, but not as good as people are making it sound.

little replay value? FALLOUT 3 ?!? Imo RPGs have the highest replay value. I think that Fallout 3 will take it then GoW2. then comes fable and Cod5.

I doubt that it is going to have little replay value, if anything it will have more than Gears 2 and CoD: WaW. It's an RPG with many different ways of playing through the game, those two are linear shooters. The multiplayer might be a different story, but I didn't like the GoW MP, other than the co-op. I don't see GoW 2 grabbing the GotY title, I think it'll go to something more like GTA IV or MGS IV.

Maybe its because fallout 3 is a SINGLE PLAYER game. Gears Of War is a failed shooter. Broken shooting mechanics and a broken multiplayer. You obviously know alot about repetition. :roll:
Seriously, I've went through Fallout 2 many times and it never fails to entertain even today. Replay value is something that fallout games have always managed to pack in, IMO.
