Piece of crap mad my xbox died after about 3 months of use. I didnt get it y. well i think its becuase the power brick sucks up the maximum power for the 360 when u add the fan onto the 360 it trys to push the brick past the limit which czause the 3 red lights. I have to wait 2 weeks now  . well at least its free. Thats my thought i may be wrong so if u have an answer plz share

Yeah everyone on here has said not to use it. Search for pictures, it has fried (literally fried) the back of the 360.

i heard the intercooler pulls more dust into the 360 causing it to overheat. seems like a pointless addon to me. If the system really needed it it MS would have put it in.

I've had my intercooler on there more than a year, and yes have took it off and looked at it and it looks the exact same as the day that I bought it.

I've had mine almost a year. No problems at all. It doesn't push dust into the machine...the fans blow outwards. Maybe that's the problem...you put it on backwards! (yes, I know that's physically impossible. It's just a joke).

Well clearly the system needs something, since 1/3 of them are breaking down. A third. And I've seen and read that 30-33% failure rate number in such a wide variety of places that it's probably very close to the truth. It just seems like that number is true, too, based on all the people who have had broken 360s. It seems almost rare these days to find a 360 owner that hasn't had at least one system break down. Many of them have had multiple ones break down.

You can blame Intercooler for making a horrendous product for the sole purpose of quickly capitalizing on a huge issue, sure. But I'd blame Microsoft long before that for making defective consoles.

Same here ... people need to stop worrying others needlessly. The problem was probably with your 360 ... I have never seen this reported in any of the online gaming sites so I just don't believe this products are faulty. Sorry. Oh and I have had my 360 on for 24 hours straight and have had no issues at all. Sorry but this topic = Fail imho.

I have had the Intercooler fan on my 360 since I bought it and still have no problems. Yes I have taken it off and it stills looks as it did out fo the box. Maybe it's just hit and miss for some people, or maybe it was the 360 being defective in the first place that caused the Intercooler to melt? All I know for sure is that as long as my 360 is fine I'm good.
