I downloaded Super Meat Boy a few days ago and I can't stop playing it. Right now I'm choosing Live Arcade over all else because I'm getting sick of the same games coming out over and over and over and over and over and over....Example: Black Ops.

This thread is just a thinly veiled way for the tc to hate on coddaviwinnI don't mind. Carry on, TC.
I grew bored from my 360 last year. My solution was PC gaming. I'm currently looking into pc hardware, and hopefully I'd be able to build my own next month.

I agree with you, it does need more variety.
I miss the PS2 days, almost everything was original, now almost everything is the same.
Maybe you should get a PS3 as well that way you can have a bigger variety to choose from.

What's your progress on SMB?
I don't understand the problem with FPS games. The communities that populate them are at fault sometimes, but that's a different story. As for the only thing on the 360 being FPS games, I disagree. Assassin's Creed for example, as well as a game like Devil May Cry 4 or Enslaved.
Yeah, there are others, they just don't get noticed as much.
Like Fable, Tales of Vesperia, Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, Assassin's Creed, Dead Or Alive, Tekken, Soul Calibur. Just to name a few. But there are plenty of Genre's to choose from, you just gotta look a little harder.
This is why you either do exactly what your doing or pick up old games from previous generation (and possibly a console if need be). I have a PS2 with a good 20 games I have yet to play and I am just punching them out one at a time now since I don't feel like buying the 30 shooters per year (with that said I got Reach as a gift).I downloaded Super Meat Boy a few days ago and I can't stop playing it. I agree TC need to search a little more, not hating just saying there out there and just because they aren't new and cutting edge doesn't make them good... I love your sig btw lazyathew.Yeah, there are others, they just don't get noticed as much.

Xbox has plenty of variety. Sure theres a lot of FPS for the Xbox, but finding more is just a matter of looking in the right places *cough* Assassin's Creed *cough* Fable *cough* Dead Rising *cough cough*
This.. There are plenty of RPGs etc to keep everyone happy.. Fable and Fallout releases were good examplesThere are other genres, but they get overshadowed due to the FPS' popularity

completely agree with you, but PC gaming requires so much money to be on the top. Although the game selection is awesome, you gotta have a $1500-$2500 machine to enjoy the fullness of the newest games. Then in a year or 2 at the most you got to upgrade that same rig. Console gaming has saved me a ton of money as well not having to update the hardware ever. Now with gamefly i save even more.
I've still got a lot to do on Super Meat Boy...I think I'm only 45% completed but I keep going back to previous stages to try and find all the warps/bandages. What an awesome, twisted and crazy game. I also bought Scott Pilgrim on Live Arcade and it's worth the points. Has a River City Ransom feel to it, if you ever played that on NES.
RPG's...Tales of Vesperia, Eternal Sonata, Lost Odessey, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fable 2 and 3. And if you like a good, simple JRPG, then Blue Dragon may be for you....a little cutesy though. Oh yeah, then there is also this little known RPG called Final Fantasy XIII you can play on it too! Plus, there is a decent XBLA strategy RPG called Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgement that is available. If you were a fan of the Vandal Hearts series on the first Playstation, then you will like this game.
This is not entirely true. It it only at the moment. In a few months Mortal Kombat will be out, in about a year, Gears Of war will be out, and there have been a lot of RPGs or TPSs lately. (Ex//Vanquish, Limbo, That Meatboy thingy... etc.I feel that Xbox is just coming out with Fps games. they need more variety....
