I play my 360 a lot and the analogs sticks are getting rubbed down. The little dots have disappeared too. I started using the Geltabz caps but does this happen for anyone else?

Wash your hands

Common Acids and oils on your palms and finger rips break down the rubbers over time

Try to use the side of your thumb!

The little nubs are gone from mine but they still work fine. The grips on the side of my controller are very smooth and shiny now too.

Have you noticed the ones at the demos at the mall? They are completely rubbed off.

I actually like the feel of the thumbsticks better now that they are rubbed down. I went to my buddy's house the other day and his 360 is fairly new. It felt kind of weird feeling the bumps that profound. one controller is completely worn smooth, and the other is almost there.

Well I've worn the left stick soo bad that if I'm not using it my character onscreen will slowly walk left, and I wore the grip bumps out so it's smooth and shiney.

you need to get a life. Put the controler down, move out of your mom's basement and get a job. then maybe you won't have to worry about your greesy hands wearing down the thumbsticks on your controllers. soxfan2614

That was completely uncalled for... you must know what it's like to have no life and live in your parent's basement if your are to judge someone so quick like that.

the only thing wrong with my controller is that the right thumbstick sometimes moves my characters aim by itself

Theres a perverted joke in the title of this thread somewhere.....

anyway, just make sure your hands are clean before you play, not immaculant but dont go grabbing the controller after you devowered some BBQ Ribs, keepin your hands clean will also prevent your Controllers from getting buttons stuck or the sticks

You guys need to stop telling people to stop playing video games so much and calling them nerds... grow up, the analog sticks get worn down unless you play like once a month. I've had my 360 over a year and both my controllers have worn down, it happens.

I dont know about rubbing mine down, but my controller is brand new; for some reason (on the left joystick), however, the little nub grip on the right side is barely even tangible with my fingernail, let alone my thumb, while the other three nubs protrude abundantly. Now, I know this is obviously not a big deal at all, but it really does feel annoying, especially when i just bought the damn thing for fifty bucks. So, I just wanna know: does anyone else have any experience like this, and do the little grip covers make your analog stick feel too thick or bulky? Are they really all that terrible?

Where do you get off calling other people nerds?

- You're posting on a video game exclusive message board.

- You have a gif of a video game character as your avatar.

- You're level 20 on a video game website

- You have a link to a quiz you completed which tells you which Final Fantasy character you are most like and you felt proud enough about it to post it in your signature along with other video game related links.

-You're a Final Fantasy Fan

Oh, and the correct term is geek; and you, my friend, are one... embrace it.

My analog sticks on my old 360 where fine until I got Fight Night Round 2, I was using a MadCatz wireless controller that I'm guessing utilized cheap rubber because those things got worn down in a matter of hours! 8)

Maybe I was informing you about the rules of the forums so that you don't get modded. I'd suggest you read the TOS too so that you don't get modded in the future, because the future doesn't look so bright for you at least.
