Do you have to pay for Mortal kombat X characters?

Can you get all of the characters without paying for each character? i know there are some charactors like jason that you can pay for but can you also get them with out paying?

I believe you can get them as a part of a pre-order bonus. If you don't pre-order the game, then yes you'll need to buy them as DLC.

The only char so far that you will have to buy if you didn't pre-order is goro.

Goro and all the DLC character will be able to be played with in special towers to see what they are like and if you want to buy them. Kinda like how killer instinct rotates characters

DLC characters can be tested, like free week rotation in LOL? am i right?
