i just got mine but it is loud as hell so i thought there was no chance mine could be the "quieter" new version, so i went aND checked. Sure enough it is. Dame sounds like the thing is getting ready to take off when i play games. This is my second xbox360 and i thought this one might be louder than the first one i had a while back. back maybe it seems louder because i went about a month without one where i only played wii, that things freakin silent.
