As of now RROD is no longer a problem. But don't just take my word, read the article if your interested in buy another Xbox 360.

The current new models are labeled by people as "Jaspers", they so far produce much less heat and haven't seemed to have any problems.Though those are the Xbox 360's that have been made in the last year and a half. I wouldn't buy used for fear of getting the old Zephyr model.

It's still a concern, no doubt. It's becoming less of an issue with each revision, but it has most definitely not a dead issue.

True true, but at least we can say now with proper care that your disc tray is more likely to break/fail on you then getting RROD with a Jasper.

Why are people still asking this? Yes EVERY 360 CAN get the RROD, however since december 2007 steps have been taken to lower the chance of such a fate

RROD shouldn't be a problem in your way for an Xbox 360. Get it.

yeah, seriously. as of the newest model, its very low. if you do by some anti-miracle get the rrod, theyll fix it. dont let this tiny problem worry you out of getting a 360. theyre quite worth it. also, invest in live. makes it so much more worth it.
