I own and love both games they both have their pluses and minuses, but I'm gonna have to say Saint's Row because after I beat Dead Rising and got most of the achievements I for some reason have a hard time getting myself to play it for more than 30 min. I've beat Sain't Row a few times and have almost everything (haven't beat all the hitman missions yet) but I still find it easy to just pick up and play. That's my opinion, but really you should at least play both they're very good.
I played them both and enjoyed Saints Row a little bit more. With Dead Rising, I just got tired of punching and hitting people with objects after a while. It got old tooo fast for me.
Honestly I found both games to be enjoyable... I had both and traded them in, but I said that once the price dropped on Dead Rising that I would go back and buy it again; there were some achievements that I wanted to try to get and it was fun getting them. I believe the price on Saints Row has dropped as well, so if you can afford it, I'd say buy em both!
Saints Row by a long shot. I own them both and Dead Rising is alot of fun but Saints Row still seems to have more pick up and play ability due to the number of activities!
Also I noticed most people who voted Dead Rising hadn't even played Saints Row.. it's a little biased don't you think?
Well dead rising is really good but saints row has the best multiplayer EVER created(if u get a clan or gang) and its the best sandbox out yet, so pick SR
they're both good games, but I would give the edge to Dead Rising because it's very unique and different from other action games. Plus it's hilarious getting giant hedge clippers and clipping zombies in half at the waist. You can't do that in Saints Row.
