All the consoles these days seem to use slot-based disc drives - and they always seemed very mystical me.
One thing I wonder is how exactly do these slot-based drives work in terms of taking in the disc, spitting it out, and preventing other discs from being inserted while in use...
For example - when I forgot that one of my XBOX ONE Blurays was in my drive - and tried inserting another disc - it was blocked, but how does the drive mechanics design make this work that do this?
This is frankly all curiosity on my part, but if any tech guru who knows optical disc drives can shine an answer on this - much appreciated.
