I dont know why this is happening, around every 30 minutes I get disconnected from xbox live and the only way to reconnect is to restart by xbox. This seems to happen most often just when Im entering a halo 3 matchmaking game not usually during one, it seems to never happen when I play online co-op and custom games. It really pisses me off because a can barely play one online match and I keep losing experience from disconnecting.

1. Is any1 using the internet for a computer or laptop
2. R u using a ethernet cable or the wifi thingy
3. Is this only with halo3 or does it happen 2 u with other games

Check your router i had that problem i had to buy a new one.

i dunno mayb its the rooms u play in 4 halo 3 all the advice i can giv u is when ur on live don't mak ur internet do other stuff lik downloading music and 2 ur computer
Having the same problem and through ethernet. I have Comcast. What I think is going on is that 550,000+ people on Xbox live is making the few servers MS have go ballistic. This is what I read. I'll try tomorrow hopefully it'll be fixed. Glad it's just not my xbox. :P
try a new cable. If that cable has been stood on, sqwashed with a table, desk, entertainment unit etc, rolled over with wheelie chairs it could very well be the cause. Ive seen this happen with many of my clients.
