I personally like the beta - there are problems with it though, but after reading on the call of duty web site, a lot of those problems have already been addressed and corrected in the retail version - the biggest one is the glitch on the Roundhouse map that allows ppl to get under the map. For better understanding go to you tube and search COD world at war glitch.
It's a bit of an adjustment as you're use to running around with red dot sights or a ACOG scope - even though there is a sight with a sort of "cross hair & black dot" sight you can get, it just feels a little off. The dog replacing the helicopter sounds odd at first, but the doga are bad ass !!!
It's basically COD 4 with a WWII skin - I thought it was better than I expected, and am really looking forward to the other maps - Cliffside looks awesome !!!I preordered & paid for my copy !!!!
Yes preorder it. I voted "has minor upgrades"....I think the maps that come with World at War Beta are better than the maps that came with CoD4. So that's a minor upgrade.

I agree there. I definitely like the 3 maps on the Beta better than almost all the maps on CoD4. Maybe just because they're new?
Its "as good as". Maps are slightly better, really like the dogs, the weapons are worse and spawn killing is flat out horrible. On each of the three levels you can just walk to the back of the others base and spawn kill till the cows come home. If they can fix the spawning issues before release it will be better than CoD4.
I said "a lot better" than cod4. I wasn't a big fan of cod4 and I'm not really sure why. I really like the CoD WaW beta though and I plan on getting the game as well. I might preorder it soon to. I like the dogs a lot more than the helicopter in cod4. It's a really fun game so I would say yes preorder it.
