Can You Truly Justify Paying $130 for Halo 3?

Why would anyone pay this much for the game. I wasn't going to say anything until all this Halo 3 stuff came out. The XBOX 360 console, the controllers, the headset, and now they have a backpack and a missle case which holds a few discs and a controller. And of course the Zune...

What is with all this marketing b.s.? I will be getting the Limited Edition ($69.99) from Circuit City and I am suppose to get a 4' wall graphic too, for FREE. Thats the way I like it.

$130 for a fantastic game with a tad bit of extras

$130 for 2 fantastic games (Halo 3 Collecters Edition and Call of Duty 4)

Anything other than the regular edition of any game is a waste of time, IMO. I don't buy collectors/limited editions/whatever unless it comes with exclusive in-game content, which it almost never does.

No that is not what I am saying. Basically, if there is a very nice game with a Collector's Edition, I am going to buy it. However, since this is Halo we are talking about and its a legend then I will be buying Legenday.

Since you can get the normal H3 edition I don't see the point in the legendary one. However, if there was only one version of H3 which costed 130 I would get it. The online mode will last for a very long time unlike SP games that get old in a few weeks (i'm looking at you Bioshock)

well it depends what classes your taking... i kno if you miss one or 2 days in my chem class your pretty much overloaded with work for about a week

Can you justify paying that much? No. Am I paying that much anyway? Yes.

Why? I'm collecting everything Halo 3. Seariously, I've never collected anything before, but I boughta 12 pack of Game fuel, saved 2 cans, bought the 12 ounce bottle, didn't open it, then pre-ordered the controllers... after that, I decided I'd just get it all, from the Todd McFarlane statues to the ubber expensive version of the game. Hell, if Burger King releases Halo 3 toys, I'll get those. I didn't buy anything Halo other than the original versions of the games before, but I'm just going all the way this time... hell, maybe I'll sell it all many years later in mint condition and make a couple thousand dollars. IDK, all I know is $130 is a lot to ask for a game, and there's NOTHING you can say to justify it, you just hop aboard the fanboy wagon and take a ride. It's not so bad, as this, Bioshock, and Mass Effect will be the only games I've purchased this year. I've been playing Halo 2 and Gears the whole time, panting for this game...
