Call Of Duty 6

Okay it has been confirmed that the next call of duty will be made by Infinity Ward and not treyarch. knowing that Infinity Ward will be making it do you think they will stick with the modern series or will they be going back to wwII? What do you guys think?

the way i see it, infinity ward has two options. keep it modern, or go to vietnam.

anything before ww2 is boring to play, since warfare had so little variety. i mean, think how terrible it would be to sit in a trench for 20 hours playing a ww1 shooter. they also can't go the future route, since not only did battlefield try that with poor results, but future warfare is a genre dominated by gears of war, halo, and unreal tournament.

Since we've already seen a modern warfare game from infinity ward, and it has been arguably their most successful COD yet, i wouldn't be surprised to see them base another one after it with new characters, etc. vietnam would be great too, because we could be battling enemies in lush jungles, and maybe seeing stealth and camoflauge come into play. also vietnam is not territory often treaded in the video game world, and all vietnam titles so far have been crap.

personally, i'm rooting for a spec ops cold war era conflict. mmm, nukes and russians, my favorite!

Id say a near future setting, thats pretty cool though.

BTW Civil war would suck, it would take like a minute to fire and reload one bullet, and youd die all the time. Bad idea

i would preffer a moder warface game. !! i like the 'clasics war' games but u know ; evebody likes a tecnology weapons and all kind of that modern stuff.

other thing is that the COD5 is already a epic games, ww2. they maybe doing the cod6 for the actual wars.

I was just about to say that. Treyarch didn't put a number at the end of it, they said that this is COD: World at War, not COD5: World at War. IW will be working on cod5.

I have a feeling theyre going to stay with the modern, except this time perhaps maybe make it on a larger scale, and mayne not set in the middle east locations or russia. I wish that they would make a COD4 style future FPS, kind of like BF2142, but more focused on infantry, rather than vehicle combat.
