It doesn't really matter. I've finished the game with both strategies. There's really not that much of a difference. If you use some of the wrench-enhancing plasmids you only need very little ammo to beat your opponents. That leaves you with a lot of money which you can use on healing stations if you have to or buy special ammo to finish up the big daddies. Later on when the U-invent stations become available you don't even have to worry about that anymore.
Yea, it doesn't really matter. As far as total Adam that you get, you'll only get about 300 less Adam when you save them all than when you harvest them (3080 vs 3360). Outside of that, the main differences are that saving them will get you some plasmids you can't get otherwise; harvesting them allows you to get some of the stronger plasmids earlier (since you'll have more Adam at the time they're available).
Yeah like others have said, it doesn't really matter. I saved them all out of choice but after realizing that you get a nice bonus for saving them all, it honestly doesn't make too much of a difference. I wish it did make a massive difference on the way the game is played to be honest.
The first time i played this i did the moral thing and saved all my sisters from the clutches of doom, the teddies were nice pressies. Plus i got a nice achievement at the end. The second time i harvested them all and ended up with a different ending but in the same place. It really is personal choice, and will depend how good you are at the game, i mean if you keep getting splatted and want some help then harvesting will help you, but if you are good then you can save all the sisters and wait for the U-invent machines later on.
