Bioshock DLC vs stock question

Should I beat Bioshock without the additional weapons/stuff in the DLC or get the extra stuff before playing it for the 1st time? I was thinking it might be better to play the stock game, beat it, then download the new weapons, etc after for maybe my next playthrough.

Anyone else comment? So the DLC stuff may make them game a little easier? Is there an option to turn on/off the DLC in game?Meta-Gnostic

I dont know if it makes it easier since my friend is borrowing the game but seems like it might but it might not i dont know based on their description they shouldnt change gameplay that much

The achievement is for beating the game without revita chambers which is pretty easy just by saving alot and loading alot and in the update they give you the option to turn off revita chambers completely
