Ok, so mw2 just released 4 months ago, so is bfbc2 really worth 60 dollars for a very similar game? Both have a short campaign and a fantastic multiplayer, both are in modern, and the list of similarities goes on..... So what do you guys think? Gonna play out mw2 some more or dish out the cash? I cant decide....

It really isn't that similar. Battlefield is much more tactical and you can't just run into an enemy held area with an MG and go mad. You need to use teamwork. It's not MAG teamwork, but much, much, much more than MW2. In short, get this game. Don't ask questions. Just do it.

Also, Bad Company had a much longer campaign than MW, and it looks like BC 2 will have a longish campaign too.

As you might have noticed a lot of forums are about BFBC 2.

Anyway I would say yes.

Two different games, two different styles of play, and two different communities.

Get the demo and see for yourself and make your own decision.

they are completely different games, but i got bored of MW2 pretty fast. BF has always been my preference and im sure BFBC2 will keep me occupied for months and will be well worth the $60.

Totally different games, and yes definitely worth 60 dollars. Personally, I like Battlefield franchise more than Call Of Duty, so I'll be getting it day one.

both are similar?:?

it's worth the $60 for the things this game does that COD does not. and there's plenty.

Its not similar to MW2 other than they are both shooters.

I'm personaly will not be getting it until I see it on sale. Its not that I dont think its worth $60. There is just another game I've been waiting for even longer and I'm hoping there will be a 40-50 sale by the end of the month.

If you play the multiplayer a lot then it's worth 60 bucks, and it's going to be better than MW2.:P

Did you notice that there are vehicles in BFBC2's multiplayer? This is obviously a joke thread because no one can seriously ask this.

I find that BC2 is more tactical and also too there is more team work when you are playing it on Xbox Live. I find that BC2 is the better game of the two.

I would watch the review on IGN. They gave it an 8.9. Not too shabby.

they both will have completely different campaigns, on one side (mw2 side) there was no character development at all throughout the game, but on the bfbc side ther will be massive character development...and the online maps are gigantic...

i have seen many of your posts in MW2 vs BC2 threads and they were all heavily in favour of MW2. I dont really think you want to ask any question, you just wanted to say that you think MW2 is a very similar game to BC2. You know battlefield 2 could be considered to have the same similarities you mentioned to MW

I have about 10 games now, all bought second hand or at a lower new price. The first current gen game I will actually pay the newprice for is BC2.

At least BC2 wont be full of all the glitch bs that MW2 is and because MW2 is more popular less whining kids.

Yeah, it is a pretty bad video review. More than that, he barely even talks about multiplayer...despite mentioning that multiplayer is the entire point of the game at the *very beginning* of the damn video.

As for the OP: Yes, go for it.

So? Do you play sales or something?

Yes it is. Although similar, the 2 games are very different. The same can be said about any game so I really don't see your reasoning

Bad Company 2 looks solid, but I guess I'm more of a Modern Warfare 2 "twitch" shooter than I'd like to be.

Agreed. I don't care about the score or their opinion, but you don't review game A by comparing it to game B more than reviewing game A in a review of game A. The reviewer deserves to get fired.

After playing the campaign a bit.. unless you really want the mp I would just rent it. The sp seems very short and doesn't have much of a story.

If you are getting it for just the single player then no, BC2 is focused on teamplay online while MW2 is pretty much every man for himself online, outside of the fact taht both are war games, I wouldn't say they are 100% the same overall.

Well, I personally loved the Multiplayer of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 , which is why I'm shelving out money, even though I don't play multi that often...first need to make some clans...and rivalry...to make it fun...haha...

But definitely I like more than what I saw of COD: MWarfare 2... And Final Fantasy 13, and GoW 3 will now officially have to wait...Or I can wait for 2 months, and get it later personally I feel like enjoying a game when I deserve it. But I have a preorder for Bad Company 2...Need to make sure I can cancel it..????
