I live in california and it is hot here especially in my room compared to the rest of the house cannot afford to keep the ac on all day.  The 360 has alot of space to breath and had a intercooler but it burned onto the console and feel it is very cheap what is the best way to keep the hardware cool without plugging anything into the console.

The pelican fan stand is approved by MS as a solution, the Nyko intercooler was not. You might have better luck with the pelican.....Or, you could do like I have, and sit your 360 up on 2 small "posts" (I used decks of cards) so it has some airflow underneath, and point a fan at it. That way is ghetto, but its free and cold.

I have a huge plasma t.v. sitting over the 360 and it is like a heater in the winter.  I think it has something to do with my 360 overheating to death last week or just plain and simple 360's over heat and ruin the hardware.  I like the pelican but it would make me put my 360 verically and I do not have any room for a vertical 360.

I use a chill pad on my laptop and am thinking if one can make a difference on the 360 because the laptop heats up alot more than a console.  I suggest anyone using a laptop to get a chill pad for it also because overtime you will notice how much of a difference it will make.

Already thought of moving up north to canada or seattle but I am born and raised in Southern California. I would be depressed living anywhere else other than the city of los angeles in the long run.

I have a really nice setup and cannot believe microsoft would not have thought of putting more fans in the console by making the console bigger.

I used it for like a year and the system started tripping and tried to take it off and the intercooler was burned onto the console where you connect it.  It works great in the short run but after a while you pretty much will be screwed.

This is what I do to keep my 360 clean. I have a laptop cooler and a normal fan that claps on to your desk. I have the fan inverted so that it blows air away from the 360. I put it behind the 360 because it blows away the hot air. I totally reccommend it.

or why not just chuck it in a barrel of water.. (sarcasm) but seriously just put the airconditioner on like 20 mins b4 playing and turn it off wen finished i mean u wouldnt need the airconditioner on all day coz i mean u need a life other than playing games.

This best way to cool your 360 is water cooling...much like PC but too expensive. The second best thing to do is run the fans at full speed (12v) and cut the grill on the back to let more air flow. This works like a charm my 360 never gets warm. Though the fan is kind of loud. If you are made of money go with the water cooling.

Bad idea...the 360 needs to be inclose to get have air through the vent. If your going to open the 360 up, mind will just do the 12v fan mod.

move to the north pole:PMuffinsKill

I think our planet's ice caps are currently are melting fast enough without any help from the sun-like heat generated by the 360. If everyone with a hot 360 moved to the North Pole, all of our coastal cities would be flooded within 6 months.

Moderate your gameplay and keep console in will ventilated area. Other then that you have your fans you can by but they sometime do more harm then good...

The only thing you need to keep your 360 cool is a well ventilated room.

If your room is always warm, just get a bunch of fans and set them up everywhere.

if u have an airconditioner turn it on like 10 min b4 you play and put a fan behind the 360 to blow air away from the back of it
