Best Halo Multiplayer ever?

What was your favorite competitive Halo multiplayer?

For me it was Halo 3. My first Halo game was the third, and I loved the multiplayer. I probably put a good 500 hours into it. I later bought Halo 2, I played the multiplayer for a little bit, it was fun while it lasted, but Microsoft turned Live off for it. I then later bought Halo 1 for PC, I thought the multiplayer was pretty "meh" but that was probably because I was terrible at it. And finally, Reach came out. I didn't like it to be honost. I got bored of it quickly. I played the multiplayer for about a month on and off. But I havn't played it in awhile, and no desire to.

Idk, thats just IMO.

Never played Halo: CE, never played Halo 2, Halo 3 sucked, and doubt I will ever buy Halo: Reach

Edit: My favorite Halo game would be Halo Wars.

I never played mp on Halo 2, but Halo 3 and Reach are both very close, but I'm going to give the edge to Reach.

Halo 2 > Halao 3 >> Halo 1 >>> Halo Reach

Halo 2 was leet, never got to play systemlink with CE.

for overall competitiveness Halo 2. Most variety Reach. Most unique of all Halo Wars (only because it is the only nonshooter). So, overall it is a toss up

halo 2 for sure, CE was also great and maybe ill give it #1 for co-op multiplayer. halo 3 i dunno y, but it didnt give the same feeling as #2. reach i would throw somewhere in the middle or bottom prolly.

i think they changed to much around in reach and added to much content at one time

halo 3 is my favorite. halo 1 probably would be my favorite, if it was online.

Halo 3. by the time that game was done (ie. when Reach came out) the number of crazy random multiplayer game types was inane. that and I liked the H3 maps the most out of the whole lot.

Reach's maps just don't tickle my fancy (even the remakes of Halo 2 maps, which are all bright sunny forge days now) even though the DMR is beastly and the armor customizations was much better.

Reach's MP is already better than it was at launch, so I think it's just a matter of time before my vote would go towards Reach instead of Halo 3.
