Anyone buy shadowrun yet?

I've got it. Only just finished the training levels (takes a little while). I'm about to dive into a Live match, if there are any up yet.

So far, even just from the training, I can tell you this game rocks.

I really want to get this game but I dont know if I should wait for the demo or not.... maybe I will just rent it first.  Tell me how it is on live?

I read yesterday on the Shadowrun boards that the reviews aren't coming out until mid-June or early July.  Apparently, FASA hasn't sent out any review copies, so it could be a while before we get a review on this game.  Then again, I heard it on the internets so take it with a grain of salt.

Where did you pick it up at? Every place I called doesn't have it yet.  Circuit City doesn;t release it until 2pm, and i'm waiting for them because you get some $20 gift or something like that with Shadowrun.yeahboy

I picked mine up at gamestop.  I'm reading the manual now.  Can't wait to get out of work, go home and play it!

You get a 20$ giftcard if they do not have it in store by 2pm.  You don't automatically get a 20$ giftcard.

I heard Shadowrun has only 8-10 maps.  With no single player that sounds crazy!

yea i saw the GP for this game on the above post in youtube and it looks pretty good with the magic and all but without live this game is crap so might not buy it till i renew my live subscription its almost over

I wish people could get things right. It has 9 maps and it does have single player.

Why does the game cost $60 dollars when it only has 9 maps and a very sparse single player mode.  $60 dollars is a lot of money for a game that is pretty much online only and the online mode only has 9 maps and 3 gametypes.

how  much singleplayer did battlefield have? or how much singleplayer did cs have? or better yet, how much singleplayer did WOW have? those are some of the greatest most played games in the world (the latter in fact beeing the most played game in the world, leading by millions).

Only an idiot would mention WoW in that list.  But that aside, what are the chances that this game will be as good and

have the longevity of Counterstrike or Battlefield?  I mean, it may be really, really, really good.  But what are the 

chances?

i can guarantee you that they will release downloadable content. more maps, gametypes and who knows what else.

I was stating that a game does not in fact need singleplayer to be good. but for your question... who knows. lets hope gamespot gets their fingers out their holes and use them to WRITE A DAMN REVIEW
