I have a SDTV. It's a pretty decent TV and a good size (42 inches).. When I play certain games on it.. like Forza 2 or Dead Rising, the font that shows up on screen is TOO small for me to read. I literally have to sit up and move closer just to be able ro know what's going on.

Can this be fixed somehow> Or do I just have to get a HDTV to be able to read whatever is on the screen?

Well, I would think that a HDTV would have better resolution and thus be easier for me to read.

When the 360 first came out there were many people complaining about problems like this. I think it's the developers. They obviously have big huge HD TV's to test it out on. Either that or enormous computer monitors.

It's sad because the font the way it is now makes the game basically unplayable.. I literally have no idea what's going on.

Any HDTV I get will be a major investment. And one that's not going to happen anytime soon.

C'mon dude. Totally depends on the circumstances.

They are pushing HDTV. Much like Sony is pushing Blue Ray.

As far as I'm concerned...they are both trying to push a pauper into a prince. Not right.

It's blurry because an SDTV has way less pixels and therefore causes blurriness, an HDTV have alot of pixels and there for defines everything and a little tiny pixel unlike a bigger one on a SDTV.

Lol, I'm 27 with a wife and family.. Everything I get is determined solely by how much we make. So, in the list of things to buy,,, a new HDTV isn't as important as getting a fence for the backyard.

And when I do get an HDTV, it's going to be a good one, that I can hang on my wall and at least 42 inches.

An HDTV would totally rectify the issues you're mentioning. Realize that the 360 is meant to be played on an HDTV so I wouldn't go so far as to say that you're being punished for not having one, but you need to realize that developers are gearing their games toward folks who own HDTV's.

Seriously though, just get one already, the difference is phenomenal & they get more affordable every day.

I'm really just happy to have gotten brand name, over the no name brands i was considering before at the price range. Game developers has completely forgotten that the 360 is made for standard tv's and hdtv's - Yet they make the text so damn small it's impossible to read most of the time. Idiots.
