The Rock is coming back tonight. Punk will also go against Ryback in a TLC match for the WWE Title.
It doesn't really seem like they're advertising much else yet, but those two things should make this Raw interesting enough to watch.
Should be interesting. Will this be an actual TLC match this time, or one of the non/fake-TLC matches like with The Shield vs Team Hell No and Ryback? Not saying it was bad match (It was amazing), but I was taken aback by the simple fact that it wasn't actually a TLC match. It was more of a hardcore match that so happened to feature Tables, Ladders and Chairs. I want to watch this with TruthTellers and Cryceaye if they are online later.
Me, Cryceaye and TruthTellers tried to watch RAW with each other last week at the same time while on Xbox Live. We were all out of sync, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. Especially listening to Cryceaye complain over everything, which is always hilarious.
I was going to watch Raw tonight. I really was. I tuned in the second it started, and I was excited with high hopes.
Ziggler hit every finisher he has ever had.
So did Langston.
Cena wins.Â
I liked how Rock's response to Punk saying he relies so much on catchphrases was to use some catchphrases. JML897
What like when CM punk said he's and honest man and then went on to say He's the best in the world. Or when he talked about his pipe bomb and what it ment, but still stayed with the WWE and turned it into a storyline.
I like punk but his little speech planned out was him contradicting himself the whole way through. And yet i still prefered his speech to The Rocks.
It's a shame for all you hardcore fans of punk though. Because everyone in that audience knows it took less than 5 minutes for them to cheer on The Rock more compared to that of Cm punks life time career in the WWE.
Not to mention the WWE think of Punk as a secondary source once The Rock steps into any arena, or as a matter of fact anyone else from the attitude era. They did the samething with John Cena last year. Once The Rock came back the WWE didn't care much for Cena and highlighted The Rock more often than anyone else.
What's also sad is that if Cm Punk does lose the title to a man that doesn't even wrestle anymore, then that's a clearer indication of how much they really care for Punk. Which is pretty disgusting seen as they rely on him every week to keep ratings up, but once someone like Mr Potato head comes back into play then they'll put Punk on the sidelines when it should be the other way around.
^Agreed.
I also want The Rock to win as well, just because the lower talent will have to rise to reach The Rock's standards. I'm not saying The Rock is better, but he would be a great driving force for wrestlers who want to rise to the next level to prove The Rock is undeserving of the Title. The Rock can make a star out of a lot of the talent, which is why it would be a good thing for The Rock to win. The wrestlers in the locker room would be annoyed enough over The Rock winning the Title to try and rise to The Rock and produce some great work with him. Instead of just sitting there whining about it and never rising to better standards. I mean WWE obviously don't care about the talent enough to give them the Championship anyway, so The Rock being a Champ is hardly changing what is going on in the WWE at the moment. And again, wrestlers might be offended enough to try and rise above their normal status to prove they are more deserving than The Rock.
Paul Heyman even mentioned that Wrestlers today expect to just be given an opportunity at some point, instead of putting in the work themselves and proving they are top material. Wrestlers whining over The Rock winning is exactly the type of thing they shouldn't be doing, but instead they should go out to try and make a name for themselves despite The Rock being a champ. They can sit there and cry over The Rock being a champion, but in the end they will still be in the same place they are in 5 years time, just because they think they should just be given an opportunity, instead of taking/making opportunity's themselves. The Rock winning might be the driving force to kick start this out of the talent today.
I'm pretty sure Ziggler is going to cash in at the Royal Rumble anyway, after The Rock wins.
Watched the Punk Rock segment.
I didn't know why you guys were saying Rock was so bad at first, because I thought he was doing alright, especially after Punk's thing. I don't like how they keep trying to recapture the magic of the "Pipe Bomb." I cringe whenever Punk actually refers to it as a "pipe bomb" and I felt like they were insulting my intelligence when they did the whole "we need to cut to a commercial break" thing. His whole first speech seemed to drag.
Rock did jokes. Not too bad.
But HERE'S where it got good. Finally, not some chicken-sh*t heel. Not someone who's gonna run away from Rock. Punk just showed that the jokes didn't phase him, and then said he was going to kick his ass. You usually don't have heels talking so agressively anymore. Just a lot of "I'm going to beat you" or "I will be WWE Champion." Awesome.
Hoping Punk retains because it just would not make sense from a business standpoint for Rock to win. If Punk's reign has to end this year, make it at Mania.Â
Straightedgescrotum did have me laughing... but the cookie pu** thing was just AWFUL and that will now stick w/ Punk... Rock came off like Sheamus or Cena to me... childish and pandering to the kiddies... Thi feud will be great, but those childish antics may hurt it... And if Rock goes hashtag crazy I'm afraid it will get even worse... Hopefully, Punk can steer the feud away from that direction... I'm still very excited, but am becoming weary
WTF was the point of Cena winning in the fashion he did last night? No better way to completely ruin a wrestler's credibilty than to pull those shenanigans off... Dolph got booted from main event status i felt after thatÂ
