SmackDown Superstar Batista is currently in surgery to repair his torn right triceps. The surgery, which is being performed by Dr. James Andrews' colleague Dr. Jeffrey Dogas, began at approximately 3 p.m. today.

Prior to the surgery, Batista met with Dr. Andrews who is currently recovering from a heart attack suffered this past Sunday. Batista is among the first patients that Dr. Andrews has seen since his heart attack (he has also met with Drew Brees of the San Diego Chargers). During their meeting, Dr. Andrews explained to Batista that he must remain hospitalized for several days after the surgery.
