Is there any way to make my 360 NOT sound like a 747 taking off at all times?

It's never been this loud before, but now it is so loud it fills my entire room with fan noise.  I have to blast the sound to drone it out, it's ridiculous.  I'm playing arcade too, not a disc.

Is it sitting the right way? When my 360 sits a different way it sounds like it's overheating and makes a lot of noise..

Other than that, maybe it needs cleaned. Lots of dust gets into consoles, or maybe it's just mine.. XD

If you're feeling adventurous you can take it apart. Obviously that would void the warranty though.

My 360 recently was getting 2 redring (overheating) errors all the time and my warranty was expired so I figured I'd take it apart. I ended up blowing out a ton of dust and now not only does the console work but it's much quieter than it used to be.

Speaking Of Loud noises I got a new Power Supply, but damn its louder than my older one. Upon closer inspection I notice the vents on the top corners were sealled shut, on my older one they were open. (FYI, I'm using the S model and both PSU's are from the S models). So whats up with that ?
