I have both and I love love them each to death! With my Vita I get games that are just like the ones on my console! But with the 3ds I get games speccifacly made for the 3ds. The Vita right now reminds me of the first year of the 3ds and even a little today, There are many games but only some worth playing. What do you guys think (Honest oppnions please)

I've had a 3DS for over a year and got a Vita for xmas. 3DS has a growing library and it's only getting better with time. Vita is still slouching on the sofa when it comes to games. It needs to get off that sofa and soon. I like them both, so don't get me wrong. But my 3DS gets far more attention than my Vita.

I have both a 3DS with 85 games currently (8 on the way) and a PS Vita with 55 games (11 on the way).

I perfer the Vita overall. It has better features, online and games that I like. 3DS currently has a slightly better library though. Both libraries are similar with alot of ports and toned down console games. Neither system has many unique handheld experiences but I don't care about that.

I have a 3DS and plan to get a Vita. I'm just waiting patiently for a deal to chance upon. I almost made the jump when that ATT sale for $50 32 GB happened but my order was cancelled due to lack of stock. A 32 memory card is pretty much a must for me due to wanting to build an all DD library so I'm essentially looking at a $350 purchase which is just too much.

    i have both.
as a gaming machine i prefer the vita. its just a really well thought out device to play games on. at the moment my 3ds is not being used much as i am catching up on the good games on the vita.
however outside soul sacrefice its looking very quiet on the vita front. sony will probably focus on the ps4 for e3 so i am concerned about games in the future. the 3ds line up is looking very strong in contrast. my 3ds will be busy again when luigis mansion arrives and thats only the first of the big guns.

for me one big positive for the vita though is psp support in the store so i will still have plenty of gems to dig up. but i would like to see a more solid line up of vita games.

I have both, i got the 3DS just after the price drop in September(?) 2011. I bought the PSvita at launch back in Feb 2012, I vastly prefer the Vita. I just really hate using the 3DS after using the Vita, admittedly i only ever bought one game for the 3DS (Zelda) and then i just got sick of using the system, I tried numerous demoes on it and just didn't feel like buying anything because i didn't feel like the games were worth the price (In Australia 3DS games are $60 and they pretty much never go down in price), even if i try to shop for games online stuff like Super Mario 3D land are still $48. In contrast games for the Vita like: Mortal Kombat $31, Disgaea 3 $35, P4G $43, Sly Cooper $34 etc and then atleast with Vita i get new games with PS+ like Lumines, Wipeout, MGS Collection etc.

If you want to know some really messed up stuff look at the pricing on our Gamestop website (EB games here), RE: Revelations for 3DS is $68, It's priced at $58 for PS360.
Infact Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros 2, Mario Kart 7, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Luigi's Mansion 2, Castlvania: MoF are ALL $68 for some random reason, and yet Soul Sacrifice is priced at $53, P4G is $43, $58 for DoA5+ and NGS2+, Killzone Mercenary is priced at $68 though but the point is that in general 3DS games are more expensive then Vita games for no good reason at all, and i just don't want to buy games that i don't feel are really worth the price that they are asking for them.

I love that i can now use the internet browser on my PSV to look up trophy guides for the game i am playing and i can just swap between them really easily also, or i can just minimize my game and check up what friends are doing or send messages or just chat with other people (something which i believe will become more important once Vita actually gets a decent multiplayer game maybe Soul Sacrifice or Killzone Mercenary)

I also have issues with the 3DS system's ergonomics, i find the corners dig into my palms and i find it very uncomfortable to use i plan on selling my original 3DS and getting an XL when X/Y release though.

I find it kind of funny when people say the Vita has no games also since i have a fair few for it... Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Wipeout, Rayman Origins, Mutant Blobs attack, Escape Plan, Super Stardust Delta, Dynasty Warriors next (waste of money tbh...), Ninja Gaiden Sigma +, Oddworld: Strangers Wrath, Persona 4 golden, Mortal Kombat, MGS collection, Lumines, PvZ, Zero Escape: Virtues Last Reward etc. not to mention all my PSone and PSP stuff.

TL: DR - I prefer the Vita.

That would be stupid considering there's about 5 good games between the 2 systems.

I've own both for a while(3ds at launch, vita about two months after release), Vita gets most my play time, since I'm catching up with the psp library. Both great handheld devices, I'm thinking of buying the 3DSXL because of the screen. I'm finding it really hard to switch back and forth without missing that big ol screen on the vita.

Tell me about it, I have over 50 games for the vita  in total... vita(24),  psp(18) and ps1(12). Thats without counting minis, mobile games. Compared to the 16 3ds games I own.  D=

Maybe it's more of an appeal thing.

I bought a 3DS at launch, held on to it for about a year and traded it in to buy a Vita at launch. So I've had each system for a year each, and have enjoyed the Vita a lot more than the 3DS.  Not to say that the 3DS is bad though, it's not, I'm just not really into the 3DS's library, or the hardware now after playing on a Vita.

Eventually I will buy another 3DS, I really want Pokemon Y and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.  I think Nintendo might do another redesign, so I wont be buying one anytime soon though.
