ForumsSystem Wars › Naughty Dog really set the bar for conso ...

System Wars is a one of a kind destination where gamers can discuss, rant, and debate about systems, platforms, handhelds and the games. Not many people survive System Wars. The mightiest system warriors back up their arguments with facts.

Rules are simple:
- Read the Terms of Use and System Wars Survival Guide.
- Must be Level 10 or higher to create topics.
- Keep your discussions around what belongs here: platforms, games, developers, publishers, and stats.
- Don't quote more than one image in your post.
- Do NOT post or bump extremely abusive discussions (adult material/illegal activities/illegal advertising/etc).

Naughty Dog really set the bar for console character models.

I found two proofs and you still try to twist it, DAMN.

What proof you are talking about?

The proof that you're an idiot. In cutscenes PS3 and even Weak60 have produced that fidelity for years now.

And also the developers have said before that automated cameras don't help make the games look better than everything else, so try harder. Also God of War: Ascension and even God of War III (an early 2010 game) are still are the best looking games this generation with the best character models and they don't even use pre-rendered cut-scenes 90% of the time, get Kratos close to the camera or use an alternative costume to prove to yourself that most of the cut-scenes are rendered in real-time. Uncharted's character models look great in cut-scenes but not so much in-game, go ahead and try to look at Sully, Elena, Chloe or whoever close up and they either move back or depth of field blurs them out so you can't take a good look. I managed to get a close look at Sully in UC3 and his model was unimpressive, a massive step down from the cut-scenes he's in. That said UC3 is a beautiful looking game, UC2 however looks dated and has been surpassed by many games on consoles. http://cdn.kotaku.com.br/wp-content/blogs.dir/11/files/2013/03/kratos_kotakubr.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-bpARUlDti68/TgaGzjSA3UI/AAAAAAAAASM/kWfw0bn4UjA/s1024/3.3.jpg I can't wait to see what Sony Santa Monica can on the PS4, it's so much more powerful that I think the games will start to look CGI-like.

'Huge differnce'? I don't think so. The AI companion moves constantly when you point your cross hair at them to let you shoot others. The trick is to trap them, and you will get one hell of a model.

For a company called Naughty Dog they make surprisingly few pornographic characters. They need more sexy characters if they want to raise sum bars.

3 for sight. 2 for sound. 1 for the touch. And you're out for the count.

As far as PS3 exclusive games go, PC gamers know very darn well that a 6yr Old Machine with talented Dev's behind are still pumping out great character models and animations.

    Not bad at all.

Character Models are only going to get better and not just for high end PC rigs

Do you not understand the difference between a dynamic camera and a camera that only changes when you run off-screen? Idiot.

First pic is what Cows want you to think the whole game looks like.

Second pic is how it really looks.

i wonder how much of a graphical downgrade TLOU will suffer.

Thanks to Enforcedspotfor the awesome avy!
