System Wars is a one of a kind destination where gamers can discuss, rant, and debate about systems, platforms, handhelds and the games. Not many people survive System Wars. The mightiest system warriors back up their arguments with facts.
Rules are simple:
- Read the Terms of Use and System Wars Survival Guide.
- Must be Level 10 or higher to create topics.
- Keep your discussions around what belongs here: platforms, games, developers, publishers, and stats.
- Don't quote more than one image in your post.
- Do NOT post or bump extremely abusive discussions (adult material/illegal activities/illegal advertising/etc).

When was PC gaming relevant the last 10 years ?
Every good game is on consoles, PC is full of copy/paste strategy games that are 1000% same to older ones (and usually with worst graphics and art) and MMOs that are generic garbages for the masses

I enjoyed the console version of Natural Selection 2.

Da&*n son..lol..you know all about me? You have a crystal ball?? How in the world would you know what ive seen,had,done,ect??..Im telling YOU that it takes a light upgrade in graphics to make a game SOOOOOO much better and "different"..sorry..been there dont it..i'll never agree with anyone that thinks differently than that..

Don't need a crystal ball. Anyone who has actually played a game on a decent gaming PC (much less high-end) can call your bluff.

so..what you saying im "bluffing" at? I have a gaming pc "I BUILT" in 2011..Its no top of the line but its nice..Runs what Ive played..If I compare my pc games to my console games its not such a huge difference that it actually "changes my game" or "makes it totally different"..you hermits go way overboard with your explinations..Can I build something even better? SURE I CAN..its PC, you can always build better because everything is outdated the moment you buy it..WHICH is why I dont upgrade but every few years..NO NEED..

4x the resolution, 4x the framerate, Ultra settings, SGSSAA, Mods, Sound quality...
Your rig doesn't take advantage of any of that, but nonetheless, anything built in 2011 is far superior to any console, and it shows. If you cannot tell the difference, you are either blind, or a liar. I am guessing that you are both.

Only on a $3000 or higher PC. As I said earlier, I have a high end PC, yet I can only run Crysis 3 at 30 fps with low antialising levels at 1080p, everthing else maxed out. If the PC version of this game was specifically coded to my hardware configuration, instead of going through layers of abstractions through an API, I believe it would be able to run at a constant 60 fps with everthing maxed with medium antialising levels.

I paid around $2,200. If you can only run Crysis 3 at 30 fps, it is a very good PC, but it is not really "high end". Also, you should try the timer resolution fix for Crysis 3 if you are CPU limited: http://www.overclock.net/t/1364200/crysis-3-20-30-framerate-and-performance-boost-cpu-limited-users-only

I don't understand what the point of buying these fancy rigs when PC's are being dumbed down by the OS and all that overhead.
I mean we already know with consoles you get roughly 4 x the performance with the same specs because you can code straight to metal.
Why even bother with PC gaming when the games lead development platforms are on consoles anyway and your basically just eating console scraps?
