Is there any way to get the admins of this site to be less idiots?

They called it the greatest discovery in human history. The civilizations of the galaxy call it...
This is probably worth the suspension I'll get:
The site, and specifically the "GameSpot" admin account, has not only exuded the utmost disrespect you can towards its users by locking the SW Awards 2013. It's just dumb to even begin to think the counts were rigged when two respected users counted them out of their volunteering spirit.
If there were any issues with the counts, why not just contact the users in charge of the damn vote? And seeing as the issues took all of 30 minutes to resolve by ourselves since the moron who locked the thread hasn't done anything since January 24th.
Also, this site's admins showed a sign of hypocrisy by how poorly the site handles contests and polls in the first place. GameSpot's polls (Best Sidekick, Best Hero, etc.) are constantly flooded by 9GAG, Reddit, and other sites because they can and they know that no GameSpot admin can defeat them because they don't have the spirit or will to.
Unfortunately for those who did have the will to count up the votes and makes the System Wars Awards possible in the first place, this disrespected them completely.
Shame on them.
Let me make this entirely clear: The reason I am calling the admins idiots is because they have not done anything involving the aforementioned issue since January 24th.
- Posting here because it is absolutely disgraceful that after a full month, Gamespot has not even gotten back to anyone else regarding the issue or even had the courtesy to update us on what happened. And all this while, the thread remains stickied there. The incompetence of Gamespot admins in handling this issue is exacerbated when you consider the simple fact that me and the other people who set the awards up were able to identify the errors (there were three minor ones) immediately once they were brought to our attention, and would in fact long since have fixed them if the thread had not been locked. The entire debacle has been a commentary on how sh*ttily Gamespot treats its users, especially some of the most respected and oldest members of the community. Your community is not expendable, Gamespot. Get your head out of your ass, and do something about those Awards. At least have the decency to unsticky the thread.

Just unsticky it, and let us move on. It's useless to have it floating up there. Shame what happened and how it was handled, but it matters little at this point. - Feb 24, 2013 11:53 pm GMT
What do you guys want to know/need done? Can't promise anything (the admins are usually swamped; management stuff changed and has resulted in the community mangers taking on a lot more work that detracts from dealing with community issues, so can't expect a quick answer, unfortunately), but I can try getting in touch, see what can be done.

Honestly, for me, get it unstickied and let it die. I don't know what everyone else wants to do, but it's been too long. The excitement has died and people laughed at that turn of events. - Feb 25, 2013 12:37 am GMT

I'm not sure what those first two were mad about - it appears like the original poster wanted to gripe more than ask a question or if he had one in mind it got forgotten in his effort to make sure he included every possible insult towards the admins.
Gee, asking a question, I'm sure no one of us has tried that already. Besides, even the moderators have tried. I appreciate c_rake's willingness to do something (really do), but System Wars moderators have also tried contacting the admins to no avail. Addiionally, a person who was a part of this, caseywegner, was suspended for absolutely no reason whatsoever. He didn't, and as far as I know still hasn't, received his account back. It's just surprising that a goddamn gaming forum is subject to this. This is a place to chill, discuss with the community, etc. and then like we usually do every year, award them. Since there were no users actually ready to do this, some of us volunteered. As far as I'd know, there's nothing better than when you create a forum and your community thrives like SW did to the point where they celebrate each other voluntarily. Instead of continuing the success of the SW Awards and pointing out any communication, anyone who put any work into creating the categories, pictures, voted, etc. was shunned from conversation on the topic. That's my beef. - Feb 25, 2013 12:49 pm GMT
The SWA organizers were notified early February and we were waiting for them to compile the data that was shared by SW community members.
We have followed up this morning and we'll see what they have to say on the disputes that were filed. Keep in mind that this is a community hosted activity; meaning, we're only relaying the recount that was shared with us and the organizers will use their discretion to determine the outcome.
As for the concerns about the GameSpot account, I checked the forum contributions, I'm not seeing any "abusive" nature in this post. It was all in the favor of the System Wars community.
Due to some concerns of community members, this thread is closed and counts are being investigated. We will return this thread when the investigation is finished.
If the investigation takes months it's all dependant on the organizers and how they want to relay the information other members provided. So, this does mean that we're closing this topic until they determine the outcome.
