From what I gathered online it works fine on the Vita, but you can't download it directly onto it you need to Download it to your PS3, Than transfer it.

Yes, it works on the PSVita. I downloaded it to my PS 3 and then transfered it to the Vita. Works good on the Vita and you can transfer back and forth and play on the PS3 as well.
I played this game way back on PS2 and loved it . I remember thinking how awesome the graphics and gameplay were. Kinda of disappointing going down memory lane sometimes. LOL
