Call me a homer, I'd take RG3 over those QBs.

He is Matt Ryan's polar opposite. Inconsistent not only from season to season but inside seasons. However he has twice completed the ultimate mission with a damn fine performance in the most recent successful campaign. Ryan, on the other hand, is solid money in the regular season (especially at home), but has done next to nothing in the playoffs, getting embarrassed at times. Some things simply linger in the memory, and the result is this poll.

Personally, I believe (despite his herp derp mannerisms) Rainmanning actually has a good football IQ, pre-snap anyway. His decision making is often suspect.

I can't completely blame you, he does have the upside and the youth. Now the question is: Would you take him over Kaep for just next season?

Yeah his 2011 year was a joke, what an overrated ****. 4933 yards, 29 TDs to 16 INTs with three road playoff wins and a Super Bowl ring. Manning is a scrub.
even with all the yards(in a lockout season i may add) and SB win he was still a fringe top 5 qb in that year, as we see in the previous poll. I see nothing that he has done this year that has led him to be even close to top 5 this year, especially when you look at his stats throughout his entire career(hint: they're depressingly average).

Largely because his supporting cast was either hurt(Nicks mostly being a big one). His line has not been good the last few years, his defense was a joke last year, and his running game has been wildly inconsistent largely because for some odd reason they kept Bradshaw way too long. Wilson and Andre Brown should have been getting more carries. Matt Ryan's best year was last year, but his other years were like on paper good numbers, but nothing special. He spent most of his career in a run first offense, with the only the last 2 years(and 2011 he was good, not up to snuff the way he wa this year) being where they are now a pass first team, and they f*cking better be with the two receivers he has. Plus Eli doesn't have the benefit of the dome, plays in a cold area, and has shown playoff success in cold environments.

Matt Ryan on the flip side was solid top 10 in 2011, but wack in the playoffs. This year like a top 5 player, but sadly has to deal with the Falcons playoff stigma. Plus I would agree that he's smarter, more accurate usually, and he's consistent to the point where it's easy to see that he's about to put up some guady numbers over the next few seasons with those 2 studs he has on the outside.

I don't know, I would have liked to seen what Ryan could have done in the redzone if he had not gotten hurt on that sack. I think he had a good chance(even if he is much responsible for the team blowing that lead as much as his defense...hell in both games) to get that game winning score. Plus his first half in both playoff games were really well done.

Not a bad pick, but my stance with them(Luck, Wilson, kaep to an extent) is that they have only been successful for like this one year. Lets see how the develop as we go further. I learned my lesson after Scam Newton, even if everyone and their mother will argue the other 4 looked "way" better than Cam did in his rookie year.

The race for #6 was tight, but at the end of 48 hours Flacco was ahead by two votes.   It also guarantees that no quarterback we voted on last year will have a jump as big as Flacco's (9 spots, 15 to 6).  Poll for #7 is now up, with Colin Kaepernick listed as the new option.

I'll actually take Griffin. The running isn't a gimmick, he could have the mobility of Troy Aikman and still be a great QB. But the running makes him even better. It's like having Michael Vick, but he can throw.

Eli Manning over Matt Ryan for 7th. Can't wait for Flacco to not come close to living up to the 6th best QB in football next season.

I voted him for 6th and I hope he doesn't as well. I couldn't ignore his performance in the playoffs though. He can turn the corner next season or flop.

30-minutes away from the 48 hour mark and we're tied, if we go over i'll try to make sure the first to 5 wins.

And with the 48-hour marker crossed, this makes Eli the winner.  Poll for #8 now up, Matthew Stafford added to the poll.

Matt Ryan took that one pretty decisvely and is the highest-ranked quarterback without a ring.  Poll for #9 is now up, Andrew Luck added to the answer choices.

I'd take Wilson over either Griffin or Luck.

But that might be just shameless homerism speaking.
