We all need to slow down and consider things a bit more before we think MS is just already final and can't make some mods and tweaks. Not that I trust everything Michael Patcher says but he thinks so also. He was saying on his show last week he honestly feels MS can and will make some final adjustments to make the Xbox more powerful before release.

Basically if MS want's they can change the DDR3 to the faster DDR5 or even if they stay with DDR3 they might up it from 8GB to 12GB ram just to give the Xbox some more flexibility developers would love that. Also the report 32MB embedded ram to help give the current DDR3 ram a performance boost and make the CPU and GPU respond faster they might up that to 64MB. There is all kind of little tweaks that can and honestly most likely will happen. I think MS is prepared for this. They might even up the CPU speed from 1.6 to who knows maybe 2.0mhz or something. MS has enough time and i think they have planned this and have some flexibility with things like this.

Obviously the ram would be the easiest to upgrade. Didn't they double the 360 ram before release? Who knows, but I would love 16GB of ram

I agree.  Nothing is really set in stone at the moment. While Sony is creating all this noise.  MS is preparing itself

Yeah I mean if MS think they are getting bad press and think it could hurt them becuase Sony might go with DDR5 MS can easly do the same and most likely will. Who knows they might OC the GPU a bit more or throw some extra ram on that. They can make tweaks for sure.

Exactly MS lets Sony do there show and show final specs. And MS goes Hmm ok we can tweak this and that and a little of this a guess what now the Xbox is more powerful.

Not really they are just trying to offer the best media functions and this is an important factor as a lot of families take advantage of this. MS has open a new Studio Black Tusk and has been stated that they are focusing right now on some new core franchise this is a good thing. Also rumors of Rare making a new Killer Instinct and also being involved with helping with a new PGR5. MS ain't abandoned nothing they know they have a big Core base also.

No, like I stated before, the memory limitations alone on consoles can't hold enough textures to be able to replicate Crysis 1.
thats why they dont need the memory PS3 has a little something something called Blu-Ray. and its 25 times the size of a petty 2gb SD RAM

Seems like your reaching for hope my friend. Regardless, they're just rumors right now, there hasn't been anything confirmed other than M$ abandoning core gamers, which happened a couple years ago.

There's no such thing as DDR5, we haven't even hit DDR4 yet, though that's undergoing mass production this year.

    It's GDDR5.

I think Sony is going to give us details on the Specs of PS4 next week so looks like MS may have the upper hand on this aspect now.

Just because you give out details doesn't mean you can't tweak them. Also you leave out the possibility that PS4's current specs are so superior that the next Xbox can't compete without wholesale changes. Kinect 2.0 is an anchor...

I don't think Sony would go first so boldly unless they KNOW they have an advantage.

Sony is going first becuase they want word of mouth buzz it's smart by  them just like when MS did it back in 2005 with that MTV special that caused a huge buzz and got everyones attention.

This is really not true at all. MS has a new Gears coming out soon they just had Halo4 and they had Forza Horizion and they even have a great game hitting Live Arcade that has huge potential is a game called State of Decay coming out in a few months. Just becuase you don't like these games don't mean MS aint got core franchises
