    Hey gang,

I'm looking to import a Sapphire Blue PS Vita cause I may die of blandness if I buy another plain black device.

As blue Vita's are only available in Japan, that's where I'll be ordering from. However before I lay out the extra cash I thought I'd ask if anyone has experience using a Japanese PS Vita in Australia and if they've had any issues.

It's region free, so games on physical media shouldn't be a problem, but what about downloads and the PSN? Can I still sign up for the Aussie PSN? Or is it locked to the Japanese?

I presume changing the default language to english is just in the setting menu, so that shouldn't be a problem.

    Any advice would greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

You can use any regions PSN ID on any PS Vita, just know that you can only tie your Vita to one PSN account. So if you want to access the JP PSN store for instance you will have to format your Vita and configure it to a JP PSN account.

    Intel Core i7-3770k, Asus Maximus V Gene, EVGA GTX 680 SC+ 2GB

    16GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Vengeance, Samsung 840 240GB SSD | WD Black 1TB

    Laptop: Asus G53SX, Intel Core i7 2630QM, Asus GTX 560M 2GB, 8GB DDR3

Yes if it's retail, but no dlc support.

Now Playing-DOTA 2, Bioshock Infinite, Assassin's Creed Liberation.

2.2 million of us are better than you.

DLC Includes online passes as well, so you can't play online in many games if you buy a game outside your region.
