sorry boys, you cant top james franco as harry osborn. emma stone is so overrated shes not unique at all, she so boring. andrew garfield is alright as parker but tobey will always be spiderman. kristen dunst was a great choice for MJ, she is a unique actress and face it the amazing spiderman is nothing special, the villian sucked compared to william defoe as the green goblin

Exactly my thoughts as well. I like the Amazing Spider-Man but mostly because it' s you know - Spider-Man. I miss that connection I felt with the original movies.

Still refuse to see it if there's no Bruce Campbell and there's obvious reasons why that can't happen.

Jamie Foxx as Electro? I dunno about that one. Also, Gwenn Stacy has to die of course, but no way should it be Electro who kills her. That's just lame.

She doesnt *has* to die because the movie is not following the original comic cannon, like the previous movie saga.

it's just based on it, it's not meant to be 100% accurate.

When you specifically have Gwen Stacy instead of Mary Jane as the love interest, she has to die. Her death was one of Spider-Man's most important moments. If they have her as a character, but don't kill her it'll just be a cookie-cutter love interest who adds nothing to the story. Watching Spider-Man fail to protect her is really the only reason to have her in this new series of films, otherwise it's just a waste.

Dude, they aint gonna kill them because they know that thousands of kids and families will watch the movie, they dont want to ruin it for them, only a small minority of comic book readers are kids, specially during the 70s when they killed gwen stacy.

They just added her because they wanted something new, to explroe new ideas, Gwen wasn't used as much on previous films and other sorts of media (for example the plethora of spiderman tv series that came out after the first Raimi film) because they had already overexploited MJ.

Make way for the Queen of the internet!

    Boxxy returns- 14/02/13

They're making a sequel to that awful lifeless movie?  I shouldn't be surprised.

This time I'll pass.  They don't know what they're doing.

I hope that she dies. Very important storyline

    my favorite Spider-Man movie is Spider-Man 2.

and i loved the first one so much that i saw it 8 times in theaters!

the third one, i saw once in theaters and i laughd at parts i wasn't supposed to laugh. nevermind that they completely destroyed what made Venom a great villain in the first place.

I get that Sam Raimi preferred the older villains - and that's fine. Except when he was basically forced to do Venom because of the studio and the focus groups, he didn't bother to do his job and give Venom the treatment it deserved. He is quite literally Venom for like no longer then 10 minutes then is promptly and quickly killed.

the Amazing Spider-Man i was not thrilled by, and Jamie Foxx playing Electro is neat and all but if the sequel is anything like this reboot, then i likely will not be dropping in on day one.

I was a big Spider-Man comicbook collector in my youth. Have well over 150 Spidey Comics, but I found the Raimi trilogy to be pretty boring, and this new one just not that great in General.

Spidey hasn't really been done right since the 90's cartoon.

Gee, now I'm questioning this movie with a synopsis like that.
