AMD is teasing a new promo to launch on the 4th of Feb. Yes, that is in 3 days. In need of an upgrade? Well this looks like a good promo to jump.

Well if you are waiting to upgrade to a new crossfire setup, now certainly seems to be the time.

    Very good deals there.

I remember when I got my GTX-570, 2 games came with it.

Just Cause 2, and Mafia 2. (or L.A. Noir, don't remember which, I gave it to my gf though)

7970 CF is serious overkill.  But yeah, this is an awesome deal, I got the never settle promo with 3 games and sleeping dogs ended up being one of the very few games I actually ended up completing (havent played many games to completion in the past few years) so it actually says alot about the quality of the game itself.

You know a lot about tech, I'm currently using 2 2GB 6950s in crossfire and have a 1440p monitor. Would buying a single 7970 Ghz be worth the upgrade?

2GB of VRAM causes me to drop texture quality and I usually can't go any higher than 2x MSAA for demanding game or else I will get a fluncuating frame rate. Do you think I'd just be better off waiting until the 89xx series is detailed?

Just wait it off. You don't need anything higher than 2x MSAA at 1440p.

The cost to benefit ratio doesn't make sense after that.
