I've been looking through eBay and Amazon for cheap PS2 consoles and their prices range right up into the hundreds. :S Are there any other websites I can get one cheap?

well, that made a choice,it's better to have a cheaper PS2 in a store than an online store, but if you're too late to the store, just go for ebay for serious things to say is that sometimes people may sell busted PS2 in there when you just spend $100,I know why you want internet, they're easier to reach, but they may not give you the exact PS2 you're looking for

Obviously you didn't look for very long; I almost never see PS2 console on their own sell for over $50. You can even get a new PS2 for under a hundred bucks still if you look hard enough.

I got a PS2 Slim for $44, albeit with no video cables and controller on eBay. Then I got a wireless PS2 controller from China that works great for $10 and component cables for $5 through eBay as well. Bottom line, eBay works and is the best way to piece together a system on the cheap or get a bundle for a bargain price.

You must be searching for a new old stock unit I assume as I picked up a Slim with controller and connections on eBay a few weeks back for $35

If you want it new then buy RIGHT NOW. You'll have to pay more than $100 but since the news of production stopping, all new PS2's have gone up in price by about 30%. Because it's such a popular console, i don't see them coming back down again as the number of new systems available lessens.

Buying used is a bit of a minefield as there's no way of telling if you're getting a lightly-used system or something with a laser on its last legs. But good luck!
