Quality of x1080 resolution on a x1440 native monitor?
- Jan 31, 2013 10:02 am GMT
Hello! I wanted to buy a new monitor, but I noticed this monitor that I have interest in buying runs at 2560x1440 native.
Lets say I have a 1080p native 27" monitor and this 27" monitor as well @ 2560x1440 native
If i run games with x1440 native monitor @ 1080p resolution, will the quality be worse than the 1080p native monitor?
i'm not sure if i asked that correctly, any respond would be appreciated thanks!

I imagine 1080p would still look good on 1440p.
People say 720p looks horrible on a 1080p screen but its not much of a difference to me.

Yeah always use the native resolution.
If your PC can't run games in 1440p, then don't get a 1440p screen.

It depends on the monitor really. 1080p on my 1440p monitor still looks better than it does on my 1080p native monitors.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

OP, whats your GPU? are you thinking its not powerful enough for 1440p Gaming? I'd recomend atleast a 670 SLI or a 680 SLI setup (if you roll nvidia) if you plan on gaming on it at 1440p... you could make do with a single 670 or 680 though, just dont plan on turning all the settings to max on the newest games.
