Top 3 Songs from your Favourite Bands/Artists
- Jan 15, 2013 11:18 pm GMT
I thought this would be fun, and interesting to see what everyone's favourite bands/songs are (also I'm incredibly bored and suck at games so there's no point trying to play them), so just name a favourite band of yours and list your favourite 3 songs from them. You can include why if you want. I'll start :)
Bands and artists are in alphabetical order, I just went through my iPod and chose my favorite three songs from each. I also put them all in a spoiler tag because the list is pretty big.

I've been writing, and I've got a story up. If you want to make assessments, feel free.
Modest Mouse songs: Dance Hall, The World At Large, A Different City
Altar of Plagues songs: Neptune is Dead, Feather and Bone, Earth: As a Womb
La Dispute songs: The Most Beautiful Bitter Fruit, You and I In Unison, Andria
I've always liked the more upbeat, fast and strange songs from Modest Mouse, I know adding The World At Large contradicts that, but there's just something about that song that I love.
With my AoP choices, I chose them all because they're repetitive as hell, which I love, and Feather and Bone has some insanely catchy drumming for the first few minutes.
I chose my La Dispute songs based mostly off the lyrics, because that's the thing that stands out the most about the band in particular to me.

Artists in alphabetical order but songs in no real order:
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath, Children of the Grave, Heaven and Hell (Planet Caravan at a close 4th)
Bongripper - Hail, Satan, Worship (Doom at a close 4th, with Worship probably being the best of those)

Death - Leprosy, Flattening of Emotions, Trapped in a Corner
Dr. Dre - Still D.R.E, What's the Difference, Xplosive (Don't really like his first album that much, but there is some good stuff on there, nothing to make it here though)
Electric Wizard - Dopethrone, Return Trip, Funeralopolis
Enslaved - As Fire Swept Clean the Earth, Havenless, Blodhemn
Ghola - Tyrant Behind Transylvanian Walls (duh), Apotheosis, Into the Void
Gorguts - Obscura, From Wisdom to Hate, Inverted

Could include a few more bands I really really like but they aren't necessarily my favourite bands so I left them out. Also the list is long enough as it is.
