I have the game and while I haven't played it in a very, very long time I do find it to be very enjoyable. The extra content is amazing even though I didn't finish all of it. The game doesn't freeze as much as the original Fallout either. I would highly recommend it if you like open-world, shooter RPG's.

The game is pretty good for the most part. I never played the DLC, but I've heard it's also good. My enjoyment of the game was tempered by the frequent freezes that happened to me, though.

I've only played three of the DLC packs. 'Dead Money' is interesting at first and has a nice creepy atmosphere, but it quickly becomes dull and repetitive. I never finished it. 'Honest Hearts' is good. I loved the change of pace (for the series) of being able to play in an, for the most part, unspoiled natural environment (Zion National Park, Utah) with living trees, clean water and rain. And I liked the contrast between the two missionaries - the pacifistic Daniel and Joshua, ready and more than willing to employ violence when he feels it necessary. "Lonesome Road' is excellent as well, and provides some backstory for the Courier. Haven't played 'Old World Blues'.

I don't have the Ultimate Edition since I found Fallout 3 GOTY edition to have way too many issues, though I still managed to enjoy it. I downloaded and played each DLC for New Vegas individually, and didn't have too many problems until I got to the third add-on, then freezing became somewhat common along with dreadful frame rate drops. Being the big sucker I am for Fallout, I still played through them all and found them to be mostly enjoyable. In all the extra content is great, but if you try to play them all on one file your save will get large and it will almost ruin the game if it accumulates too high. Still, I'm sure you can find a good deal on it, and along with the core game itself, it's a hell of a lot of content.

I would have to agree while I haven't played the other DLC missions, I did play and beat OWB and I loved it from start to finish.
