overclocking my 660ti

    im having problems overclocking my gigabyte 660ti oc. ive been looking around to see what results other people were getting. and well im lacking results with my core clock. i can only go +10 (using msi afterburner) but my memory clock i can go +400. ive tried increasing the volts as far as +15 still no difference. is my PSU holding me back?

    Intel i5 2500k, ASUS P8P67 PRO, 8GB ADATA XGP Gaming Series Ram, Gigabyte 660 TI OC , Thermaltake Truepower 600watts, Sound Blaster X-FI 7.1, Creative Inspire TD7700 7.1 speakers,1TB Western digital H/D @ 7,200 RPM,Razor Diamondback mouse, Thermalright SI-120 +120mm fan,Panasonic 42' HDTV

    your psu shouldn't be holding you back

    With overclocking it's luck of the draw sometimes. You might have gotten a much lower bin than what is average for the card.

    EDIT: Also, it's a factory overclocked model, which may mean it might not have much OC headroom left to begin with.

    With overclocking it's luck of the draw sometimes. You might have gotten a much lower bin than what is average for the card.

    EDIT: Also, it's a factory overclocked model, which may mean it might not have much OC headroom left to begin with.

    No chip is the same when it comes to ocing

    but seriously tho i cant get more than +15Mhz on the core... Out of all the reviews and blogs i've seen people get much higher clock speeds. And the 660ti is known for having more room left for overclocks. I had the same issue with my 560ti.
